SGI successfully hosted ICISA's General and Associated Meetings

Seoul Guarantee Insurance successfully hosted the 67th General and Associated Meetings of International Credit Insurance and Surety Association(ICISA) on Jeju island from 10 June to 13 June.
Delegates from 29 ICISA member companies took part in the event, joined by a number of guests from ALASECE, Berne Union, PASA, SAC and SFAA.
During the meetings, delegates and guest speakers mainly discussed on the topic of finding the directions to overcome the global financial crisis of today. And many have agreed the importance of the risk management and thorough understanding of current economy. Dr. Young-Min Baang, the President & CEO of SGI, shared his address with the topic of "Surety and Credit Insurance Market in Korea" which included an examination on the current status of the financial crisis and his prospects on the future bond market conditions and SGI's counterplans against the crisis.
ICISA was founded in 1928 as the first credit insurance association. Surety companies have been joining since 1950s promoting the association to grow into the leading international organization in the field of trade credit and surety bonds. ICISA members represent over 95 percent of the global credit insurance industry and insure over 2 trillion US$ in trade receivables.
SGI has strengthened the business cooperation with major worldwide credit insurers and sureties, and look forward to making business advances in the global market through these meetings.
